A few more details, since there are still a lot of myths and wrong statements out there:

The amount of armor or vest points does only determine, when items break. It does not affect damage reduction

There is damage falloff for longer distances, especially for 9mm and 5.56mm ammo. All values above are for close range only

Even level 1&2 helmets protect the entire face and neck, even though the model looks different

All vests protect the entire torso, even though the model looks different


Patch changelog:
2nd monthly patch
AK buffed from 46 to 48 damages (+4%)

Vector nerfed from 36 to 31 dmg (-14%)

Shotguns nerfed, but not measurably in close range (still one shot kill vs level 3)
